The phase plug design with short apertures and a high flare rate ensures low distortion and noticeable improvements in the reproduction of mid-high frequencies. With its ellipsoidal suspension shape, the ND1018BT titanium diaphragm assembly exhibits a constant slope response from 1kHz to 18kHz with smooth sliding behavior. An edge-wound aluminum voice coil, wound on proprietary Nomex, completes the diaphragm assembly. Due to its physical properties, the proprietary treated Nomex moulder exhibits a 30% higher tensile elongation value at working operating temperature (200 ° C) than Kapton. In addition, this former patented material is suitable for working even in environments with higher moisture content.
