The 12W500 is a 500W low frequency program loudspeaker designed to meet the need for a 12 "loudspeaker which combines excellent linearity with good sensitivity and power handling characteristics. It is primarily intended for bass applications. compact reflex cameras in 50 lt cases, typically for two-way systems in combination with 1 "compression drivers. The high-quality paper cone has a smooth, curved profile design that eliminates bell resonances within the expected frequency range. This is delivered by a specially treated, double-wetted semi-roll linen suspension, designed to control excursion while maintaining the linearity of the piston action. The 12W500 employs ISV (Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil) technology, where a high strength fiberglass former transports the windings to both the outer and inner surface to achieve a mass balanced coil. This results in an extremely linear power package with a low tendency for eccentric behavior when driven strongly. Voice coil cooling is achieved by incorporating the airway between the back plate of the frame and the top plate of the magnet, allowing the heated air from the voice coil and space to be channeled and dissipated from the frame basket.
