This ferrite low frequency driver meets the demand for a 15 "loudspeaker that combines excellent linearity with good sensitivity and power handling characteristics. The 15W500 is designed for two or more way reflex systems. The 15W500 also employs our Interleaved Sandwich Voice coil Technology (ISV), in which a high strength fiberglass former carries the windings on both the outer and inner surfaces to obtain a mass balanced coil.This results in an extremely linear motor assembly with a reduced tendency to comp eccentric movement when operated with force. Cooling of the voice coil was achieved by incorporating the airway between the back plate of the frame and the top plate magazine in netics, which allows heated air from the voice coil and space to be conveyed and dissipated from the frame basket. This technology is the result of a meticulous 3D CAD design project.
