The 10M600 is a high performance 10 "ferrite midrange that offers high power handling capability with exceptional sensitivity in the mid frequency band. It is suitable for direct irradiation or horn loaded applications as part of a 3- or 4-way auditorium, tour, or outdoor festival sound system. It is the result of an intensive development program aimed at producing the best 10 "ferrite midrange driver available. The smooth curvilinear paper cone has a special high strength wood pulp composition and has been designed to achieve the best possible linearity within the mid frequency range and to control the bell resonances around the cone circumference. The cone is carried by a double semi-roll suspension made of a material more resistant to aging and fatigue than traditional materials, ensuring the correct control of damping and excursion. The state-of-the-art 75mm voice coil assembly incorporates thin edge-wound aluminum wire along with a sturdy fiberglass former to achieve the necessary force factor, light weight and high power handling. The voice coil is cooled using the airway between the back plate of the frame and the front plate of the magnet, which allows heated air from the voice coil and space to be channeled and dissipated from the frame basket. This technology is another product of our engineers' application of 3D CAD assets. The magnetic structure was also optimized using our internal CAD FEA resource which maximized the flux density in the voice coil gap. A special treatment is applied to both the upper and rear plates making them more resistant to the corrosive effects of salts and oxidation. This treatment is more effective than any other treatment in use today.
