The HD2000 1.4 inch output high frequency compression driver is designed for use in high quality audio systems.

The titanium diaphragm is manufactured in-house and has been developed to ensure unparalleled transient response. A patented Nomex module with a 60mm copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) coil with wrapped edge completes the diaphragm assembly. It was made by bonding the patented Nomex former directly to the titanium dome through its top bending edge. Compared to a normal straight joint, the driver design ensures extended frequency energy transfer for improved linearity of response and unmatched reliability. This feature maintains correct control of the dome movement under real working conditions. Due to its physical properties, the proprietary Nomex former exhibits a 30% higher tensile elongation value at operating temperatures (200 ° C) compared to Kapton. Furthermore, this material is also suitable for working in environments with a high humidity content.

Featuring the proprietary Phase Plug 3P architecture, the HD2000 has been designed to provide a uniform and consistent wavefront at the horn input across all working frequency ranges with high-level manufacturing consistency. The phase plug with its short apertures and high flare rate ensures low distortion with excellent mid-high frequency reproduction.

The powerful HD2000 ceramic magnet assembly has been designed to achieve 16 kGauss in space within a compact ferrite motor structure. The motor structure is equipped with a copper ring on the pole piece, reducing the effect of inductance and distortion.
